WHY I TRAIN WITH DR. DRILL:
· It makes me feel good and healthy
· I like how I look now
· I love the people that I’ve gotten to know
and the friends that I’ve made
· Dr. Oberst is one of the finest people that I’ve
had the privilege of knowing.
· I am definitely a morning person (yes I really enjoy
getting up at 4:30 a.m.)
· I love encouraging others to get healthier and help
them to reach their potential |

GOALS MET/ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Stronger upper
body and tighter abs (although I am still working on the 6-pack
– how I hate those Russian Twists!)
WHY I TRAIN WITH DR. DRILL: Platoon XVII
is my 4th platoon and I am in the best physical shape of my
life. I have more endurance and am more toned than at any
point in my 52 years. Through improved diet and exercise with
DDIP, I have lowered my LDL cholesterol and was told by my
doctor that I can stop taking my BP medicine. Oh, and did
I say I enjoy the camaraderie????? |

FITNESS LEVEL: I would say I’m somewhere
in the middle. I appear to be in better shape than I am, but
I swear it’s all my height! I have gotten better though
and can now run a lot more than before.
GOALS MET/ACCOMPLISHMENTS: I know that DDIP
has definitely changed my daily attitude for the better. I
have more self confidence than I ever had. I have learned
to eat healthier on a fairly regular basis. Also I am continuing
to tone core muscles that I have always wanted to and can
now run at least 2 miles straight without much difficulty!
WHY I TRAIN WITH DR. DRILL: I started at
Platoon XV, the first one at GMC. Ginny Mintzer from Lansdale
introduced it to me and I love it! I can’t get enough
and I just keep coming back for more. It really has helped
me manage stress more efficiently and take some time for myself
to refocus my energy. All the instructors, guides, squad leaders,
and vets provide an excellent support group too! |
