Public Perception

While chiropractic has been practiced in one form or another as long as man has walked the earth, there is a sense that it is something new. Hippocrates, the “father of medicine” manipulated the human form, and before his time one can imagine our oldest ancestors doing the same. Political forces stemming mostly from medical healthcare organizations have in the past attempted to destroy our profession, and certainly spread misInfo|rmation about the truth of chiropractic. Still, we hear wive’s tales like, “if you crack your knuckles they’ll get big and arthritic,” and “chiropractors are quack doctors.” It is amazing how rumors and ignorance can persevere. While at the dawn of all health care and technology, most healing methods were questionable, chiropractic included, today’s chiropractic institutions graduate the finest doctors, whose education is on par with their medical equivalent. Science has delineated the intricacies of the chiropractic method, and well, the discipline just makes sense; it’s too simple not to. Chiropractic is hands on healing. It is as scientific, non-invasive, and cost effective a profession as there is!
